Abstract
The consulting and contracting sectors of these closely allied fields in the information indsutry share many common features. Results provide information about how this sector operates, the types of work undertaken, and the necessary skills and attributes for success. Key findings were also compared to similar surveys conducted in Australia and the U.K.
