- Abstract
- Lack of standardised information about Dunedin Public Libraries’ numerous special collections made planning and the allocation of space, funding, and other resources difficult. A methodology to document the collections’ history, significance, valuation, disaster response rating, and other characteristics was developed and the relevant information collected. The availability of standardised data will facilitate the analysis of collection needs, help staff to identify priorities, and generally aid future collection management.
